Newbury tattooist to gift healthcare heroes free tattoos
A tattooist in Newbury is offering free tattoos to all NHS “heroes” next month in an attempt to give something back.
With themed designs, he will be using art to say a “massive thank you” and champion our healthcare heroes.
Lee Priddy will be working from 10am “till late” so that he can attempt to “tattoo as many people as I can in the day”.
Mr Priddy said that healthcare workers have done an "incredible job" and he was inspired after hearing what his friends, who work in the NHS, had experienced.
As an artist, he felt that he could give "something small" back, given that tattoos can be customised for any person and for any cause.
He said: “We are incredibly fortunate to have the NHS in the UK and all of the amazing staff, who have put their lives on the line despite the risk of falling ill themselves.
“Covid has become one of the most important issue in all our lives. We have all had a very tough time over the last couple years losing loved ones, lockdowns and isolating.
“So, I would like to give something back and say a massive thank you to all the NHS workers. You are the heroes of our country.”
The free tattoos will be on offer on February 16 from 10am till late at Full Power Studios on London Road.
