Newbury teenager arrested following Crookham crash




Police helicopter helps track down fleeing 16-year-old

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested following a crash in Crookham last night (Saturday).

A man was injured in the crash, which occurred in Burys Bank Road at 8.15pm.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.

A police helicopter was dispatched to help search for two men who fled the scene.

The helicopter located one of them, a 16-year-old boy from Newbury, who has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, driving a vehicle without a licence or insurance and for failing to stop after an accident.

The boy has been bailed until September 18.
