Newbury teenagers arrested following alleged assault




Two girls released on bail

Two Newbury teenagers have been arrested, following an alleged assault involving another two teenage girls in Newbury

According to Thames Valley Police (TVP) the arrests were made in connection with an incident which happened at about 4.25pm on Wednesday March 25, involving two teenage girls, walking in Old Newtown Road, at the junction with Willow Close.

The girls were approached by two other girls , who cannot be named for legal reasons, and an argument ensued, followed by an alleged assault.

Following an appeal for witnesses, a 15-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl, both from Newbury, have been arrested on suspicion of assault by beating.

They have both been bailed until April 21.
