Newbury to London Paddington rail services return to normal

Passengers previously told to expect delays and fewer trains until 5pm today

RAIL services between Newbury and London Paddington have reportedly returned to normal.

Passengers travelling between the two stations were originally being warned to expect delays, revised services and fewer trains than normal until 5pm today (Thurs).

However, First Great Western tweeted at 2pm that services were now running as usual.

There were alterations to services between Reading and London Paddington earlier due to speed restrictions - meaning fewer trains were able to run on some lines.

Trains between Oxford, Bedwyn, Newbury, Reading and London Paddington were run at a reduced frequency in both directions.
