Newbury Town Council to discuss 84 potential sites for housing at special meeting tonight (Mon)
The committee will address the 84 sites put forward for potential development in West Berkshire Council’s latest strategic housing land availability assessment (SHLAA), which was updated following its call for sites last year.
Hundreds of sites across the district are being considered by West Berkshire Council.
Among the 84 in Newbury are potential developments in Faraday Road and Fleming Road; Phoenix Court, Newtown Road; The Broadway and Northcroft Lane.
Each will be assessed by West Berkshire Council on their appropriateness for development before a decision is made, however town and parish councils have been invited to submit feedback on proposed sites in their areas.
Members of Newbury Town Council’s planning and highways committee will decide what feedback to submit for each of the town’s 84 sites at tonight’s meeting.
The meeting will begin at 7.30pm in Newbury Town Hall.
