Newbury Waterways Festival returns after Covid hiatus

The Kennet and Avon Canal running alongside Newbury's Victoria Park will be filled with boats on Sunday, July 3.

The free event runs from 10.30am to 4.30pm and is organised by the Kennet and Avon Canal Trust, supported by Newbury Town Council.

This year's theme will be 'Let’s Party', to mark the return of the event after a three-year absence.

It also celebrates the 60th anniversary of the trust and the 40th birthday of the trust's tripboat Jubilee.

A flotilla of decorated boats and vessels for the public to take a look inside will be lined up along the canalside and Jubilee will be offering boat trips throughout the event.

In Victoria Park there will be a variety of charity and craft stalls, displays, activities and entertainment for the whole family.
