Newbury Weekly News wins print innovation award
The Newbury Weekly News won the UK and international printed innovation of the year award at the newsawards 2015 last night
The Newbury Weekly News won the printed innovation of the year award for its ground-breaking augmented reality Newbury i3D app at the prestigious newsawards 2015 last night.
The Faraday Road-based family publisher beat the Daily Telegraph, Guardian, Sunday Times and two German national daily newspapers, Rheinische Post and Sächsische Zeitung, to the title.
Newbury News Ltd was also commended in the blue riband Grand Prix award, and one of the papers it prints, the Isle of Wight County Press, was commended in the best weekly newspaper category.
The newsawards 2015, previously known as the Newspaper Awards, are in their 19th year and are the only awards that are dedicated to celebrating the best in news media print, technology and business innovation
They were held last night at the Lancaster Hotel, London, and hosted by the Pub Landlord, Al Murray.
