Newbury woman 'impersonated solicitor'




Charges involve thousands of pounds allegedly fleeced from clients

A NEWBURY woman is accused of posing as a solicitor to fleece alleged victims.

The woman has been charged with four counts of fraud by false representation said to have taken place between April and December, 2010.

The charges relate to impersonating a solicitor and obtaining money to take on legal appeals and civil debt collecting.

The total amount alleged to have been taken is more than £18,000.

The woman has been released on bail to attend Reading Magistrates' Court on February 17.
