Newbury's Abacus Day Nursery in national top 10

Feedback from parents sees nursery pick up award

A NEWBURY nursery has been listed in the top 10 in the UK.

Abacus Day Nursery, part of Berkshire-based nursery group, Complete Childcare, picked up the award for top 10 large nursery groups in the UK.

The award is based on feedback compiled by daynurseries.co.uk, listing more than 11,500 children’s day nurseries in the country.

The Top Ten Nursery 2016 Award is based on direct feedback from more than 22,000 reviews from parents, relatives and guardians of children.

General manager at Abacus, Ashleigh Simmonds, said: “This is exciting news for us.

“So many parents use the internet to find childcare these days and to receive such a good result from parents using our nursery is fantastic.

“It is a great achievement for the team here at Abacus.”

Complete Childcare uses a secure Parent Portal to provide an insight into children’s daily routines and incorporates a parent’s forum, photo gallery and regular feedback.

Abacus received a majority result of ‘excellent’ for its overall standard of childcare.
