Newbury's footballing dog to appear in BBC science television show





Border collie Skye, who hit the national news headlines in 2008 after Newburytoday.co.uk revealed that the pooch had quite a talent for playing football, will be taking part in a feature about intelligent dogs on the programme Bang goes the Theory, alongside two other dogs.
Skye's owner, Sue Bobiecki, said: "[The BBC film crew] knew about Skye and so approached us."
FIlming for the show took part in both Wash Common play area and at the University of Lincoln.
She added: "It was quite an experience; I enjoyed meeting the presenters.
"I'm quite proud of her."
In 2008 Skye became an internet sensation owing to her footballing skills and was dubbed ‘Ronal-dog’, after the Portuguese football star, Christiano Ronaldo.
