Cost of Newbury's most – and least – expensive streets for housing revealed
DO you want to keep up with the Joneses?
Well, here's Newbury's most and least expensive streets over the past five years, revealed.
Home sales company Property Solvers tracked average sold price data from HM Land Registry since 2016 to see where the highest and lowest-priced homes are located across the RG14 postcode.
It turns out that Tydehams, Long Lane and Garden Close Lane have some of the highest-valued homes across the area.
Meanwhile, some of the cheapest residential streets in Newbury include Arbor House, Gaywood Drive, St Donats Place and Ashridge Court.
On Tydehams (RG14), nine properties sold for an average of £1,409,008.
On Long Lane (RG14), three properties sold for an average of £1,021,666.
Also, Garden Close Lane (RG14) saw four properties sell for an average of £956,250.
Some of the cheapest streets include Arbor House, Gaywood Drive (RG14), where three properties sold for an average of £89,166); St Donats Place (RG14), where three properties sold for an average of £89,333 and Ashridge Court (RG14), where 11 properties sold for an average of £94,272.
Property Solvers co-founder Ruban Selvanayagam said: "To keep the data less skewed, we only ranked the streets that had over three sales.
"It’s therefore worth noting that, in recent years, a property on Wantage Road (RG14) sold for £1,610,000 and, at the other end of the market, there were properties that sold for £140,000 and under on Gordon Court, Gordon Road (RG14), Bridge Court (RG14) and John Boys House, Glendale Avenue (RG14)."
