Newbury's town band in summer picnic concert

Scenic Shaw House as backdrop
The Newbury town band will provide a midsummer performance against the scenic backdrop of Shaw House tomorrow (Sat) evening.
Watership Brass will perform Music for a Summer’s Evening, on the great lawn, with chance to spread out a relaxing picnic, alongside a Pimms and beer tent and cafe open for light refreshments.
There will also be introductory talks about the historical Shaw House at 6.15pm and 6.45pm and guests can explore the house before the concert begins.
Tickets are available from Shaw House, telephone 01635 279279, or the Newbury Visitor Information Centre on 01635 30267, alternatively pay on the gate, cost adults £7.50, children under 16 £2.50.
Gates open at Shaw House, in Church Road, Shaw, at 6pm, concert starts at 7.30pm.
