St Gabriel's pupil in regional beauty pageant heat
ASHMORE Green schoolgirl Rysa Saujani has won a place in the UK regional heats of an international beauty pageant
The annual Face of the Globe Pageant features young women from all over the world who work to make a difference and raise funds for good causes.
Its main charity is the Rainbow Child Foundation.
Ten-year-old Rysa, who attends St Gabriel’s School, Sandleford Priory, made headlines locally last May when she asked friends and relatives to give her cash tokens instead of birthday presents, which she donated to the NSPCC and Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, London.
She will compete in London on August 24 in the juniors category, and if selected, she will go forward to the world finals in Disneyland Paris in October.
