Newbury Weekly News photographer Phil Cannings headed out to Donnington Castle last night (Wednesday) in search of the
Perseid Meteor but despite the clear sky, there wasn’t much of a showing. In fact, trying to capture the image of a meteor flying over head using 30 seconds exposure over a two hour period, he managed to capture just one. In this video, which shows plenty of planes flying overhead, a meteor can just be seen 6 seconds into the film, in the bottom right hand corner.
