It has affected homes in the following postcode areas: RG1, RG8, RG30 and RG31.

Thames Water engineers have identified and resolved the problem.

They are working to return water pressure to normal levels.

No estimated time has been given for the water supply to return.

Two water bottle stations have been opened.

One is at Meadway Sports Centre in Conwy Close in Tilehurst.

The other is at Sainsbury’s in Bath Road in Calcot.

Both bottled water stations will remain open until 9pm today.

Thames Water said it is delivering bottled water to customers who have registered for priority service.

Thames Water said: “We’re really sorry if you have no water or are experiencing low pressure.

“Our engineers have identified and resolved the problem and are working hard to return water pressure to normal levels as soon as possible.”
