Nominations open for Newbury Civic Awards

The 18th annual Newbury Civic Awards were launched last week and nominations for your inspirational young person or adult are now open.
The two awards – Newbury Town Civic Award and Newbury Town Young Persons Civic Award – are presented to those carrying out voluntary work and schemes that affect the whole community.
Newbury Mayor Jo Day and Adrian Smith of The Swift Group, which sponsors the awards, launched this year’s appeal for nominations on Friday.
Nomination forms are available from Newbury Town Council and can be downloaded via www.newbury.gov.uk
The closing date by which nominations should be received is March 9. The awards ceremony will take place in the town hall on March 23.
