Tigers Day Nursery celebrates 30 years in Thatcham

A nursery is celebrating 30 years of providing high quality childcare in Thatcham.

Tigers Day Nursery started in 1994 with 18 children attending per day.

Thirty years later, some of its children are now working at Tigers to continue the same service for future generations.

Nursery staff and children celebrated the milestone on November 14 with tiger themed party games and activities, a disco and karaoke, anniversary t-shirts for each child and — of course — cake.

Alison Huntley founded Tigers at a time when she was unable to find expert, quality childcare for her own children.

Reflecting on the anniversary, she said: “We are incredibly proud of the impact we have had on so many children and families over the past 30 years.

“Our commitment to providing a nurturing environment where children can learn, grow and thrive remains as strong as ever.

“We would like to thank our loyal parents for trusting Tigers to look after their children for many years.

“We look forward to continuing this journey for many years to come.”

Tigers runs morning, afternoon and full day sessions for children aged between three months to five years out of a converted barn in Henwick Court, Turnpike Road.

The nursery also has two other sites in Theale and Swindon.
