NYT's BBC Fringe slot
Word gets around.
This lunchtime (Monday) Newbury Youth Theatre performed at the BBC pink tent at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. They are up at the fringe performing their show The Curious Case of the Ugglie Wump and other Mysterious Monsters at the Quaker Meeting House venue, but got the BBC call last week. The youth group's artistic director Robin Strapp said: "The invitation came out of the blue and the producer said 'we really wanted to include NYT in the programme as we've heard so much about you'."
The BBC bills its Potterrow venue in the heart of Edinburgh "For top BBC shows, masterclasses, and special events, as we bring the largest arts festival in the world to you".
Our Newbury Youth Theatre is special indeed. But we always knew that!
