Official photographs released following christening of Prince George

The third in line for the throne was baptised in the Chapel Royal at St. James’s Palace on Wednesday in front of a small gathering of invited guests, among them the prince’s grandparents, Upper Bucklebury residents Michael and Carole Middleton and Prince Charles, along with the Duchess of Cornwall, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh and the Duchess’s siblings Pippa and James Middleton and Prince Harry.
Immediately afterwards, the official photographs were taken by Jason Bell in Clarence House.
The birth of Prince George, on July 22, thrust Kate’s home village of Bucklebury into the limelight as the world’s press descended on the village to capture the celebrations.
He spent the first few weeks of his life with his parents and maternal grandparents in the Middleton’s family home.
The occasion had champagne corks popping across the village in the days that followed, however residents admitted the christening had been a much more low-key affair.
The landlady of the Cottage Inn, Mandy Bush, said: “He’s [Prince George] is beautiful.
“The photos are stunning and it’s always lovely to see him because there haven’t been many photographs.
“He’s a lovely little thing, he looks just like his dad and Kate looks incredible.”
The priest in charge of the parishes of Bucklebury, Bradfield and Stanford Dingley, the Rev. Julian Gadsby, added: "On behalf of the parishes, I was delighted for the Duke and Duchess as they brought Prince George to baptism.
"Baptism is an important part of both his and their spiritual journey, and we will continue to pray for them, that together they may know more of God's love expressed perfectly in his Son Jesus, and grow in their faith in Christ.
"The photos show what obvious joy Prince George has brought to both families, and we would ask God's blessing on them.
"To see four generations of the royal family together in one photo is a historic moment.
"We continue to pray for her Majesty the Queen, and her successors, that they govern wisely and well in God's strength and for his glory, and that they be both blessed and be a blessing to those they serve."
