One lane closed on M4 after accident

There are speeds of 25mph between Theale and Chieveley after the accident involving a van towing a car

ONE lane of the M4 is currently closed following an accident this afternoon (Thursday).

Police were called to the scene at 4.05pm after a Mercedes Sprinter van pulling a trailer with a car on top had toppled over.

The incident happened westbound between junctions 12 (Theale) and 13 (Chieveley).

Two lanes were closed but one has now reopened and there is currently an average speed of 25mph.

Police and highways agency are on the scene.
