Open day at Newbury Fire Station

Newbury Fire Station is opening its doors to the public for an open day event next week.

On Saturday, August 20, guests are invited to visit the station for a range of activities and entertainment.

There will be fire service displays, recruitment information and special appliances.

There will also be the opportunity for guests to have their own go at firefighting by putting out a house fire.

The event will have food stalls and face painting.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to park in Shaw Road playing field, and go to the fire

station from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
