Over 1,000 people apply for new Parkway store jobs




The new John Lewis at home store, due to open in the Spring, will create about 180 jobs

MORE than 1,000 people have applied for jobs at the new John Lewis at home store in Newbury.

The Parkway store will create about 180 jobs when it opens in the Spring.

Branch manager, Dominic Joyce (pictured), said: "This is a really exciting time for us and I am looking forward to working with my new team throughout their training as we countdown to opening day in the spring.”

Recruitment manager, Laura Berry, said: "The opening of a John Lewis at home shop in Newbury marks an exciting period of growth for John Lewis.

"We look forward to welcoming these new Partners (staff) on board and have no doubt they'll deliver the outstanding levels of customer service John Lewis is renowned for.”
