Overnight power cut in Newbury

Problems with underground cable caused loss of power to 39 homes
THIRTY-NINE homes in the Charlton Place area of Newbury were affected by a power cut throughout last night and this morning.
The power went out at 10.40pm yesterday (Monday) following a fault with an underground cable.
Southern Electric said that though some homes had their power restored early this morning (Tuesday), everyone was finally connected again at midday today.
The company apologised for the problems and have requested that anyone who is still affected by a power cut to contact them on 08000 7272 82.
