Overturned lorry on A339 closes road in Headley
Darren Young posted on Twitter to say: "traffic is very slow moving Basingstoke bound, fire engines, police, ambulance and now helicopters."
The road at the Thornford Road roundabout has also been closed by police who were at the scene.
Hants Roads Policing Unit are advising road users to seek alternative routes.
The fire engines have since left the scene after making the area safe. Natalie Whitaker from Hampshire Fire and Rescue said that nobody was trapped and needed to be cut free and there were no casualties.
The A340 at Aldermaston was also closed in both directions earlier this evening due to a serious fire but has since re-opened.
A petition calling for safety measures to be implemented on the stretch of road has since been set up by Pragna Hay and can be accessed here: http://www.change.org/p/basingstoke-deane-borough-council-consider-and-implement-traffic-calming-measures-in-headley
