Overturned transporter on the A34 this evening

Thames Valley Police were called to the scene at the A34 slip road at Chieveley at 5pm to reports that a car transporter, carrying BMWs, had overturned on the northbound carriageway.
A spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police, Lucy Billen, said that no other vehicles had been involved and that the driver of the transporter and suffered minor injuries.
She added that the the road was partially blocked but there was heavy congestion on the north and southbound carriageways because people were slowing down to observe the accident.
The Highways Agency has said that the road is likely to be closed until 9.30pm.
