Overturned vehicle closes one lane of the A34 north of the M4 junction 13 at Chieveley

UPDATE:8.30pm – The road is now expected to reopen at around 11.30pm according to National Highways.

UPDATE: 4.30pm – The road is now expected to reopen at around 7.45pm according to National Highways.

UPDATE: 3pm – The road is now expected to reopen at around 6.15pm according to National Highways.

UPDATE: 12.55pm – The A34 is currently closed northbound, between the A4185 and the A4130 for recovery of the overturned Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV).

The road is not expected to be running freely again until around 4.30pm.

9.30am – An overturned vehicle has closed one lane of the A34 this morning.

The incident has closed the inside lane of the northbound carriageway.

There are currently delays of around 30 minutes, between the junction with the M4 at Chieveley and the A4130.

The road is not expected to be cleared until later this afternoon.
