Padworth & Aldermaston Wharf Craft & Produce Show returns for another successful year




The Padworth and Aldermaston Wharf Craft and Produce Show took place on the weekend, bringing the best of vintage village fair family fun to the area.

Main arena acts on Sunday, June 11 included the “excellent” Arborfield Military Wives Choir, the classic rock cover group White Ridge Band and a traditional dance performance from the British Filipino Association.

New for 2023 was a “spectacular” stunt show by the RPM bike trials display team, and the ever-popular dog show had another successful year.

Hampshire and Berkshire Ferret Club attended the show and shared lots of information on ferret welfare.

There was a little bit of ferret racing on the day, but the animals were not as fast as usual due to the hot weather over the weekend.

Woolhampton Primary School PTA hosted some vintage games, face painting and the children’s magic marquee.

There were also kids’ bumper cars and a bungee trampoline to entertain the little ones.

The show had a variety of stall holders selling craft items and locally-sourced produce.

A local branch of the WI sold homemade cakes, and the Mortimer Sausage Company provided the BBQ.

A show committee spokesperson said: “The show was well attended and we look forward to seeing everyone back next year.

“I think everyone enjoyed themselves and it is a great event bringing local communities together.
