Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury two on weapons charges
TWO men have been sent to the crown court on weapons and affray charges.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Thursday, November 24, were Martyn Bell, aged 49, and 23-year-old Joshua Bell, who both live at Dolman Road in Newbury..
Martyn Bell is accused of possessing an offence weapon in public, namely, a hammer, while Joshua Bell is accused of having a broken pool cue as an offensive weapon in the street.
In addition, both men are charged with committing affray by threatening violence towards another.
All the offences were said to have been committed in Newbury on Sunday, October 30.
The two were both legally represented by Simon Hammudi.
Magistrates sent all the charges to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury, sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
They were both meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
