Rotary Club of Pangbourne make donation to Warsaw Rotary Club

The Rotary Club of Pangbourne has made a donation to the Warsaw Rotary Club to help its fellow branch of the humanitarian organisation facilitate the large influx of Ukrainian refugees entering Poland.

Pangbourne Rotary transferred £2,000, or 10,800 Polish złotys, to the Warsaw club in order to “bypass bureaucracy hurdles that sometimes exist” as it believes “this is the fastest way to get support to the people who need it”.

The funds were raised through a variety of fundraising events, such as the Woodcote 10k run, the club’s Santa sleigh and local art exhibitions.
