Parish Council frustrated by NDP decisions
Compton Parish Council (CPC) has revealed its disappointment at the decisions made at the western area planning committee last week.
CPC said it was dismayed by the fact that the committee congratulated Compton for its successful referendum, yet still went against the NDP’s policies by approving the Homes England application.
A CPC statement said: “The Parish Council was astonished by the admission of one Committee member that they had not read the NDP yet then proceeded to vote against it.
“The Government’s introduction of the Neighbourhood Planning regime was to shift away from top-down planning that excluded local people and communities, sadly the WAPC did not deliver on the Government vision.”
