Park House School team donates to food bank
The sixth-formers, calling themselves Team Limitless, recently took part in the National Citizen Service scheme.
They were struck by the important role of food banks across the country and decided to raise awareness for the cause.
The group collected more than 170kg of food to be distributed to families in crisis over the winter months.
The food package, which included dried foods, tinned foods, and biscuits was collected by Foodbank representatives who were said to be overwhelmed by the donations made by students and staff at Park House School.
Headteacher at Park House School, Derek Peaple, said: “I’m so proud of our students.
“Their thoughtfulness and their spontaneous decision to take positive action will make a difference to many families this Christmas.”
