Parkway to have late-night shopping in week before Christmas

Parkway is gearing up to present its festive late-night shopping experience in the week leading up to Christmas.

From Monday until Saturday, most outlets within the popular Newbury shopping centre will remain open until 7pm, offering extended shopping hours to cater for the Christmas rush.

Parkway will also be transformed into a winter wonderland at 6pm every night, when a planned snowfall will descend on to shoppers using five film-grade snow machines.

This will be paired with hanging globe decorations throughout the centre and a giant selfie bauble by H&M.

Parkway centre manager Andrew Marmot said: “This magical initiative aims to bring the community together during the festive season and create lasting memories for families and friends as they shop and enjoy the snowfall, providing there isn’t any rain or real snowfall onsite.”

Parkway promises that its late-night shopping experience “will provide shoppers with a chance to find those perfect last-minute gifts for their loved ones in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere”.

Notable retail outlets within the shopping centre include Next, Sostrene Grene, Hotel Chocolat, Pandora, Robert Goddard, The Entertainer and H&M.
