Newburytoday.co.uk took to the streets of Parkway to find out people's early impressions on the new shopping centre

PARKWAY is now finally open in Newbury after three years of construction and many more years of discussion.

Amid the celebrations that marked the opening of the shopping centre this morning (Thursday), Newburytoday.co.uk was out and about among the thousands of people to gauge opinion on the new development.

Newbury's MP, Richard Benyon, said that today was a great day for the town, adding that it was really great news that Newbury could be competitive in this day and age, while still maintaining its character.
