Party time at Hugo’s Gourmet Pasta in Newbury

IT’S party time – and a new name – for Newbury’s Gourmet Pasta Co.

The venture opened its doors in Market Place 12 months ago and founder Hugo Lesser said: “We're throwing a party on Saturday, May 31, with a DJ and as much pasta as you can eat.

“And we’re changing our name to Hugo’s Gourmet Pasta or just Hugo’s for short.

“It’s been an incredible year.

“We’ve served thousands of happy customers, honed our menu, and garnered rave reviews for our delicious, innovative fresh pasta in the heart of Newbury’s historic Market Place.

“We’ve also run lots of experiences and events, including pasta-making classes, live jazz and salsa nights.

“However, when we asked our customers what we could do to be even better, they told us to broaden our menu, and change our name.”

He added: “We’re launching a new, broader menu containing additional fresh pasta and delicious non-pasta options.”
