Passer-by rescues pensioner from canal in Newbury

The incident occurred near Ham Lock in Newbury on the Kennet and Avon Canal at about 1.30pm.
Newbury fire station reported that the 75-year-old woman slipped and fell into the waterway, but was saved by a passer-by.
One crew from Newbury fire station attended the scene, as well as an ambulance and police.
The woman did not require medical treatment.
