Silchester pavilion fire fought by Tadley firefighters




FIREFIGHTERS wearing breathing apparatus tackled a blaze at Silchester Pop Up Cafe this morning, Sunday, July 10.

Tadley Fire Station posted on social media: "We are currently in attendance at a pavilion fire in Silchester.

"Please avoid the area to enable crews to work."

No one was hurt but the wooden building on Pamber Road has been badly damaged.

The cafe management posted on social media at 10.35am: "Very sad news.

"There has been a fire at the pavilion this morning, luckily no one was injured and there was only extensive smoke and water damage.

"Unfortunately though the cafe will be closed until further notice.

"Thank you all for your support.

"We will keep you posted on what’s happening."
