The 76-year-old, of Skippons Close, Newbury, admitted assaulting three on-duty police officers – Padraig Parks, Luke Whitbread and Rhys McCormick.

He further pleaded guilty to using threatening, insulting or abusive words or behaviour with intent to cause Lydia Moulding harassment, alarm or distress.

All four offences were committed in Newbury on January 9.

Magistrates adjourned for pre-sentence reports.

They stipulated these should be prepared on an ‘all options’ basis, including custody.

Reeves, who was legally represented by Nathaniel Ikeazor, was meanwhile released on unconditional bail.
