Thatcham Place resident counters complaints over no public access sign
A Thatcham Place resident has hit back at complaints over a ‘no public access’ sign.
The man, who says he has lived on the development since it opened, said he is in full support of the sign.
He says residents pay just shy of £500 for the maintenance to keep the green space clean.
“All residents pay for the upkeep of the land there,” he told Newburytoday.
“People park their cars inconsiderately, they walk their dogs and leave a mess and don’t clean up.
“Rowdy youths damage the park and people leave their litter all over the place.
“These are all the things we have to put up with.”
He added: “They don’t bother cleaning up their dog’s mess.
“There is dog poo all over the place.
“People drive up here to walk their dog, at the end of the day it is us that are paying just under £500 a year.”
