Police appeal for witnesses after person sets vehicle alight in Addiscombe Chase Tilehurst




A person set a vehicle alight in Tilehurst.

The incident occurred between 10.30pm – 10.40pm.

The fire spread to the front of the house.

Nobody was injured.

Officers from Thames Valley Police attended the scene along with Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, who extinguished the fire.

A man in his forties from Reading was arrested on suspicion of arson and using a motor vehicle without insurance.

He has been released on bail.

A man in his thirties from Tilehurst was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.

He has been released on bail.

Thames Valley Police said: “Anyone with CCTV cameras in the area or any drivers with a dash-cam who were in the area around the time should check their recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.
