Photographic competition highlights road safety in West Berkshire

All photographs must be taken in the district for the competition, on the theme of Pedestrian Safety in West Berkshire and which forms part of the national UN Road Safety Week (May 6 to 13).
Each entrant can submit a maximum of five images, in a digital or printed format in the competition, organised by West Berkshire Council.
Entries will first be judged at the council's offices in Market Street on April 19.
Winners, runners up and commended photos will then be displayed for a public vote at Newbury Library, from May 7 to 11.
Final results will be announced on May 13, with prize giving at Newbury Library in May.
Winners and runners up will also be entered into the regional RoadSafety GB competition.
The competition is open only to amateur photographers, with two age categories, 11 to 17 and 18 plus.
To enter the competition, which closes on April 12, email Roadsafety@westberks.gov.uk.
