As Newbury is once again illuminated with Christmas lights, we had a trawl through the Newburytoday archives to find out what the festive decorations have looked liked through the years.

Some of the old photos – taken in Newbury from the late 70s to the present day – show a traffic-filled town centre festooned with Christmas decorations.
