Burghfield planning appeal for 32 homes to be decided at public inquiry in Newbury

A date has been set to decide an appeal by public inquiry for 32 homes at Burghfield.

West Berkshire Council previously rejected the proposed development, citing a lack of enough affordable housing and the site’s proximity to AWE Burghfield should a nuclear incident occur.

Register your details with the council’s appeals team prior to the opening day should you wish to attend.

And those who wish to speak at the inquiry should make themselves known to the inspector on the day.

The planning inspectorate will not respond to requests to speak at the event in advance of the inquiry.
