Appeal made against West Berkshire Council over refused Pangbourne solar panel
An appeal has been made after the council refused a planning application.
Anna Karim started the appeal on December 12 after the council refused her application to install a ground solar PV array to provide electricity at Woodland Manor, Pangbourne.
The appeal will be determined on the basis of written representations.
The case officer’s original report noted the economic and environmental benefits of using renewable energy.
But it also shared concern for the installation’s impact on the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the north and said further information was required to show the solar panels would not result in harm to Lower Bowden Barn.
The proposed site is currently unused agricultural land located to the east of the property.
Visit https://acp.planninginspectorate.gov.uk to make, modify or withdraw representations or send comments to Simon Dunn at: The Planning Inspectorate, 3C Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Bristol, BS1 6PN.

All representations must be received by January 16, quoting the inspectorate’s appeal reference: APP/W0340/W/23/3325561.
