Plans for cattle accommodation with all mod-cons

It is proposed to erect a specialist portal-framed building with concrete scrape and tractor passage and a chalk floor to bedded areas.
If plans are approved, all gates will be galvanized steel and one roof elevation will have the benefit of solar photovoltaic panels.
The farm said that the new building was required as the existing cubicle building was beyond economic repair.
It will be bigger than the existing site owing to the loss of some additional buildings on the other side of the public road that are in a poor condition and not considered viable for refurbishment.
The application states that eventually it was possible that all the remaining buildings on the opposite side of the road would be removed and this would significantly reduce the amount of daily road crossings for farm machinery delivering feed to the animals, especially in the dark winter months.
