Plans for new MRI and CT scanners at West Berkshire Community Hospital approved by West Berkshire Council

Plans for an MRI scanner at West Berkshire Community Hospital have been approved.

The Benham Hill site in Thatcham will also get a CT scanner.

West Berkshire Council also approved extra hard standing and more car parking.

The kit will be housed in a single-storey building to the south of the existing building.

The hard standing area is earmarked for another mobile MRI unit.

The hospital says it will alleviate pressure on existing services and ensure patients will not have to travel outside the area.
