Application to build 17 homes and business hub in Burghclere submitted to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council

A planning application to build 17 homes in Burghclere has been submitted to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.

If the application is approved, a mixture of one, two, three and four bed dwellings would be built on the land between the junction of Winchester Road and Harts Lane.

The proposal also contains plans for a business hub to be built on the site. This would contain office space for small business to let as well as shared facilities such as a meeting room and a kitchen.

Applicant Orchard Homes said in its development statement that “the proposed scheme will help achieve the wider ambitions of creating a sustainably linked community”.

Of the 17 homes, seven will be affordable, and access to the housing development will be from Harts Lane, just north of the road’s junction with Coopers Lane.
