Plans submitted for Aldermaston recycling site extension
Aldermaston Recycling Limited, based at Old Stocks Farm, Paices Hill, has applied for planning permission to extend its current recycling activities into an adjoining site, the former council refuse tip.
If approved, the new site will include the installation of a waste screening and separating plant, which will be inside an acoustic enclosure to minimise noise pollution from the site, as well as additional buildings to provide offices and staff space, a weigh station for vehicles and additional skip storage and car parking.
An additional entrance will also be incorporated from an existing access route from Paices Hill.
As well as providing recycling facilities for Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey, the firm also operates skip hire from the site.
So far, no objections to the application have been received.
A decision is expected from West Berkshire Council by April 16.
