Plant swap in Padworth today (Sunday)
The group is encouraging visitors to bring vegetable, plants and seeds to swap at the event, which will run from 11am to 1pm.
The idea is to bring any spare vegetable plants or seeds and swap them for a different variety.
In addition, there will be information on water saving ideas, organic advice, details about wildlife gardening and future PEG tasks.
There are, also, fun activities to keep the children amused such as the slug assault course, making bird feeders and model dragonflies.
PEG was started in 2009 and aims to encourage personal and community involvement in environmental and conservation tasks in the local area.
Tasks have included two annual litter picks and clearance of Himalayan Balsam from along the River Kennet.
In 2012, PEG aim to clear more Himalayan Balsam from a longer stretch of the river but they need more people.
If you, or your company, are interested in helping with a community based project then the group urges you to get in touch.
