Play area set for opening




The newly refurbished play area at Siegecross Public Open Space in Thatcham will be opened next Thursday

MEMBERS of the public are being invited to the opening of the newly refurbished play area at Siegecross Public Open Space, Thatcham.

On Thursday, February 24 at 2pm, the town mayor, Lee Dillon, and chairman of Thatcham Town Council's recreation and amenities committee, John Boyd, will officially open the area which has been made possible by a grant of £50,000 from the Playbuilder scheme.

Thatcham Town Council mascot Cyril the Squirrel will also be making a guest appearance and people are invited along to take part in a soccer skills kick-about with the mayor and Cyril from 12pm.
