Plea from musician after losing CD payments at Newbury gig

Following a great show last night at Arlington Arts, singer songwriter Roxanne de Bastion has posted a plea on social media for fans who bought her CDs and vinyls to help her out, after she discovered her card reader had malfunctioned.

She said: “I loved performing at Arlington Arts last night and was so happy that so many of you bought CDs and vinyl after the show!

“As you know, my card reader was acting up and unfortunately, most of your card payments did not go through.

“If you see that yours didn’t go through, I’d really appreciate it if you could pop something in my Paypal account: www.paypal.me/roxannedebastion

Our newburytoday reviewer Brian Harrington was there at the gig with Roxanne and Nerina Pallot – ‘An evening with two excellent, female singer songwriters is, in itself, unusual. When both produce songs which are articulate, intelligent and thought provoking it makes for exceptional entertainment. Both play keyboards and guitar and both deserve, in my opinion, to be better known,’ he wrote.

Musicians have had a tough time of it over the last 18 months and are only now getting back to live performance. Let’s hope our Newbury audience will see her right.
